Meet the people who use the bus at 11th and Congress

Tuesday Rooted reporter Cassandra Adamson hung out at a bus stop at 11th and Congress. Throughout the day she approached people to see what was going on in their day and why they were waiting for the bus. Some people didn’t have much on their agenda while others had experienced a packed day. Regardless of their story, this project proves the point that it can be fun to talk to your neighbors.

Hello Cassandra. I enjoy taking the bus to work. If I want to go to work before my wife I will often bike to a nearby bus stop and catch the bus. It usually takes about 30 minutes to get there after the bus arrives. I could bike it in 30 minutes from the house which I do sometimes, but as I said I enjoy the bus and I want to support public transportation. I have even taken the train a couple of times. I was curious as to what kind of studio the first fellow you interviewed went to. Music? I was also interested in the man who road the bus because he has epilepsy. My son Stewart has epilepsy also and doesn't drive. He doesn't enjoy bus like I do. He would rather walk. Next time I'm on the bus I'll try and strike up a conversation. Nice meeting you at our shop.
