Cassandra Adamson took the winning shot this week. Her photo of a bird taking a break for a drink of water caught your attention more than any other. This photo came about while I was not-so-patiently waiting for a different photo opportunity to happen across the street. I was hoping to capture a wide shot of a gentleman posting up new show times at the State Theater on Congress Avenue, but while that shot didn’t end up happening because he disappeared inside, I was entertained by a bold bird drinking water trickling along the sidewalk by my feet. Power washers had left the avenue dripping and many birds were taking advantage of the free drink.
