Driving around Austin looking for interesting things to photograph, I consider myself lucky that this is my job. When I saw Mr. Valigura and the load of watermelons along the road I knew that I wanted to stop and talk and take a few pictures. He liked the fact that I didn’t care that he had a black eye, and I liked that he was willing to talk and be photographed. Since this was the last load of the season as well, I’m glad that I stopped and got the image.
