Happy October — and autumn — everyone! In a fitting fashion, this week’s winning photo is all about fall. Peter took the winning photo of boots that are perfect for autumn to help mark the change in seasons. Pete had the idea for this photo before he went out to make it. Here’s what he had to say about it:

I wanted to do more than just capture what was happening around Austin as far as events go, so I thought that since fall was upon us I would photograph things that also meant “autumn”.  These boots are worn by my very patient girlfriend Candace, and we had a lot of fun the afternoon we shot this image.  I’ve wanted to shoot in this location (a cement rain run-off near my house) since I first saw it two months ago, and finally got the chance with this.  Thanks to everyone who voted on this image, and cheers to a new season!
